Because my room was actually clean. Because after living in my same apartment for a year, I decided it was finally time to decorate. Because I got a swaggy new stag head for Christmas. And most importantly because it's been below zero temperatures in Chicago. For all those reasons, this week I decided to make a post about my bedroom. I've finally started to make it a little more personal. For some reason I was never sure if I was going to make it through a year there, even though I signed a year lease. I really tried to make it as bright and white as possibly, with touches of fashion pieces. My Carine Roitfeld book and my clippings from old issues of Vogue are my inexpensive way of adding fashion into the mix. My favorite piece is the stag head which had been on my present list for years now and I'm so excited to finally have it. I focused on themes of clean minimalism because it helps me stay neat and organized. Plus I have self-diagnosed myself with the winter blues and one of the antidotes it to keep your interiors bright and open.
