overalls, shoes, & bolo tie: madewell shirt: zara

Lately, I've been developing a new concept called bolo tie formal. I think I'm going to insist on it at my wedding or any formal event I will be hosting in the future. I don't have much more than a name for the concept, but it probably will have some sort of southwestern feel. I am all about stag heads in terms of decor. It all started when I purchased this bolo tie from Madewell. Definitely a piece most would pass up, I feel in love with the idea of a western minimalist piece. Kanye Western, as I like to call it. After all, my entire aesthetic is based on the 90's - 1890's and 1990's. It only makes sense that I would latch on to a piece that simultaneously references both eras. I paired it with overalls (90's themed) that I might already own in another color and a shirt form Zara that I wear way too often (90 times). Put it all together and what do you have? Someone who looks like they throw on whatever happens to be in their closet, but who has that millennial confidence to pull it all off. More to come!
