NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK

7:00 AM

button-down & oxfords: zara t-shirt: opening ceremony pants: h&m

While this outfit has all the elements of a classic work appropriate outfit, the combination of the feathers, gold, and cape make this outfit pretty unsuitable for work. And while were on the subject, I love this button down, but it wrinkles after sitting on it for .5 seconds. A small price to pay for fashion, I suppose. I would like to clarify that I am wearing two shirts. That's right - two shirts! There is no limit to what I will put myself through for the sake of a good outfit. That sound's dramatic, but I feel like I normally bury myself in an oversized whatever and call it a day. Wearing two shirts felt like a lot. The button down in question, fashion's mullet, was copped from Zara forever ago, but I never had the courage to wear it until now. The feathered t-shirt underneath is from Opening Ceremony because at this point they could sell paper napkins and I would buy them. The shoes and pants are super old. They're pieces that are hidden in the depths of my closet, so they don't get the wear they deserve. As for the other pieces, I was itching for an excuse to wear them. I wore this outfit for our work Christmas party because I wanted to be business in the front and party in the back. I believe I achieved this goal. More to come!
