I haven't posted in a while because it was my birthday, finals, and spring break so I rewarded myself by not using my computer for anything other than streaming movies. March 17th I turned 22. I don't know about you, but I'm feeling another existential crisis coming on. For my birthday I wanted to be chic, and what's the most chic place in Chicago? The Drake, of course. For starters it's very old money. It's also named after (yes, after) the rapper who knows how to treat me right. If you're reading this, it's already too late to wish me happy birthday, but I will accepted a belated birthday present. For my bday celebration, I decided to go 90's Rihanna. I paired a turtleneck under a leather dress with a blue faux-leather jacket over it. I felt like I had just stepped out of Daria, and I'm totally ok with that. And as for the Rihanna reference, I bought these sunglasses the moment after she posted them on Instagram. Bad gal knows how to sell a product. I'm not sure how I will adjust to spring, since turtlenecks don't seem like proper summer attire. I've really lived in them since October, so I will be sad to see them go. But let's be real, it's not warming up anytime soon in Chicago. Plus, since I work indoors maybe I won't have to bid farewell to my friends that leave me in a state of subtle suffocation.
